Meet the New School Council at Abbeywood.
A school council is a group of children who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school. We have two representatives from each class. Miss Pretty and Gordon Potter help with the meetings.
Our first meeting was a 'getting to know each other' session. Badges were issued and responsibilities were explained. The school council then had to design rules for the playground equipment to make sure that the equipment is always used safely. Have a look at the rules below.

School Council together with Michelle from the lunchtime catering company designed a cupcake competition. All children could enter and any theme was allowed. The winners were chosen by Michelle and her team and the children ate the cupcakes today for their dessert. Well done to all the children who submitted an entry form.
